Hutterites

Hutterites established colonies in the United States and Canada during the 1870s following expulsion and religious persecution in Europe.  Linking Community partners had a chance to visit a Hutterite school on their June 2014 visit to Chaplin, Saskatchewan.  Hutterites are communal people who practice principles of self-sustenance and non-resistance.  Learn more about a Hutterite colony in Montana by reading an article on National Geographic's website or viewing their associated multimedia items.
